While a majority of the student body happily return to their beds on snow days, Matthew Reynolds just as happily trudges through the inclement weather to the school to work with his robotics team.

And it is this kind of commitment that has set him up as one of 84 finalists out of 4,400 applicants hoping to receive the Loran Award — one of Canada’s most comprehensive and prestigious scholarships.
