An Etobicoke high school student is in the running for a prestigious scholarship, which could earn her $100,000 toward her post-secondary education.
Kaylee O’Meara, 17, who attends the Etobicoke School of the Arts, is one of 80 finalists nationwide for a Loran Award, which would provide the cash prize over four years for her undergraduate studies. Even if she doesn’t end up winning, the Grade 12 student said she still feels honoured to be in the running.
