With so many “deserving” national finalists interviewed earlier this month – 80, in fact – an Adam Scott Collegiate Grade 12 student said he was “shocked” to learn Sunday he was one of 31 recipients of a prestigious Loran Scholarship.
Max Moloney, 18, received word via a telephone call.
“It caught me off guard,” the Bridgenorth resident said Tuesday. “It’s a really tremendous honour.”
The news – which will be delivered during morning announcements at the Hilliard St. school on Wednesday – has created a lot of excitement.
