Ana is studying health sciences specializing in the respiratory system at Dalhousie University. She is an executive member of the SPRING accessibility program for children in the community on campus. She volunteers as a mentor for students pursuing STEM education. Ana completed her public policy summer with the Nature Trust of New Brunswick.

As part of the school policy table, Max participated in several congresses across Canada about the French educational challenges in minority communities. They fight for the rights of the LGBQIA2+ community by leading a diversity club and organizing a wide array of activities promoting inclusivity. Max participated in the establishment of non-binary washrooms and a new inclusive dress code at schools. They also organized a workshop on queer identity.

Akutaq studies Sociology at the University of Calgary. She continues to speed skate by training through the Elite Olympic Oval Program. She currently holds all of Nunavut’s women’s records and an Arctic Winter Games record in the 500m, where she also won gold in all four distances. In 2024, Akutaq worked with Ilitasiniq where she created a program connecting children to Inuit culture through culture-based activities through a summer day camp. Through this program, she hopes the children gain skills, confidence, and connection to their Inuit culture. Akutaq caught her first goose this spring, and this summer, her goal is to pilak (butcher) and clean an entire natsiq qisik (sealskin) on her own.

Burhanuddin is an engineering student at the University of Alberta, planning to specialize in civil engineering. Throughout the academic year, Burhanuddin has focused on making small but meaningful changes in his communities, such as planning events and implementing sustainability initiatives.

Braydon runs social media for Community CARES in Sydney, and Get Active in Kingston, two organizations that help build better communities in Nova Scotia. He also serves as an ambassador for Get Active, volunteering at their active-living events. Braydon co-captained an intramural sports team and is currently a program facilitator for a mental health organization. Additionally, he helped organize a community concert and a dog adoption event in his university town of Kingston.

Joesh is a mental health & diversity advocate and public speaker. As the youth ambassador for the Stigma Free Society, Joesh has reached thousands of students in 500+ schools across Canada. He is also a TEDx speaker, athlete, school president, and co-investigator for a national health research grant.

Sarah is the President of the Student Association of her school and she contributes to the development of student life. She is a member of the organizing committee for the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life in her hometown. She is also a volunteer with patients at end-of-life at a palliative care hospice. In her free time, she plays ringette and loves hiking in the mountains.

Garvit is a computer enthusiast and is Captain of his school’s cybersecurity team which has competed at a national level. As a member of the debate club, he has helped younger students enroll and understand debate by showcasing a debate for an academy outside of school. Garvit is involved with his local church as the Vice President of events. He is also an avid scuba diver.

As a law student at McGill, Cathy takes on leadership roles, serving on the executive team for the Environmental Law Association and the board of an organization guiding schools toward socio-ecological transitions. She is an active member of the youth wing of a political party, contributes to her electoral district association, and acts as head of the G7 youth delegation. She completed her public policy summer in the office of Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys dancing and playing violin.

Olivier sits on a board to promote the French-speaking community within the University of Ottawa Students’ Association of the Faculty of Arts. He is also the youth representative on the Board of Directors of the Société des Jeux de l’Acadie. As part of this role, Olivier manages a program called La Relève, which aims to train future leaders within the Jeux de l’Acadie.
