Kate represents a leadership program for young women in her province, volunteering at seniors’ homes and charity events. She also co-founded a band that raises funds for her school and fire department, helped launch a meal program for seniors, volunteers at a local Sunday school, plays school sports, and has worked at a local restaurant for four summers.
Nathan is the co-founder and leader of a local youth initiative dedicated to nurturing kindness and coordinating young people in community volunteerism. He also serves on a community board committed to addressing poverty and promoting wellness. In addition to building and operating a home service business, Nathan is an avid outdoors enthusiast, athletic team leader, and is dedicated to agriculture.
Emily volunteers with her local fire department, participating in training, emergency calls, and leading the community through fire safety. She holds a glider and private pilot license, and brings aviation experiences to youth across Saskatchewan. Emily is also involved in the student council, cross-country running, and the community band. She works at a hardware store.
Ryan is a nature enthusiast who loves camping, hiking, and co-leads an organization that educates youth about the environment. He is an active volunteer in his community, including helping at the local food bank. Ryan loves music and theatre. He serves on his school’s student council as the grade 12 representative, and he is passionate about equality, inclusion, and human rights.
Nimisciw leads debate club and sings in their school chamber choir as well as the Vancouver Youth Choir. They hold a senior position in the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and volunteer in the community. They also work on the Highlands Church tech team.
Bazyl is the founder of his school’s Dungeons and Dragons Club and tutoring support program. He is the grad chair and head of several school committees and clubs, and plays a key role in the school and jazz band groups. Bazyl is on various sports teams, including the unified basketball team, and he works part-time as a line cook.
Aayushi volunteers at her local care home, organizing bingo nights and events. She is an active member of her community, helping at local events and fundraising initiatives. She has served on the student council for all four years of high school and represents her school on a divisional student voice group that empowers students to participate in decision-making. She leads a “trick or treat” food drive, works multiple jobs, and is trilingual. Aayushi competed provincially in cross country and attended the federal Young Women in Public Safety program.
Harishvin co-founded an initiative to develop a non-invasive way to help paralyzed people regain movement using brain-computer interfaces. He leads a STEM Club program for younger students, guiding them in exploring emerging technologies. He is part of his city’s youth advisory committee.
Cai is the president of her school’s service club, leading outreach programs across Jamaica. She founded a youth mental wellness initiative providing accessible tools for wellbeing. Cai collaborated with the Jamaican Ministry of National Security to deliver art journaling workshops for teens at a juvenile centre and co-founded a STEM organization offering educational resources.
Cofounder of his CEGEP’s competitive robotics team and co-president of the model UN committee, George strives to expose students to a range of fields of study. He also raises student awareness of active transportation by bike by organizing events and fixing and redistributing bikes to youth.
