Kingsley is engaged in equity, mentorship, and creative work. He advocates for inclusion on his school board’s equity committee while also leading his school’s Afro-Caribbean Society. A founding member of a non-profit organization, Kingsley supports under-resourced athletes by helping provide access to sports equipment. He also produces digital content and independently releases music.
Finn serves on multiple advisory bodies for the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and has contributed as a grant peer reviewer. He is an ambassador for Breakthrough T1D (Type 1 Diabetes) and a two-time national archery champion. A dedicated member of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Finn is deeply committed to his role as a guide at Métis Crossing, where he shares and celebrates Métis culture and history.
Abeera founded and leads her school’s environmental club and is student council president. She volunteers at the hospital and library, and shares rural student perspectives on the Education Minister’s Youth Council. She also conducted research at the University of Alberta, testing potential lung cancer treatments.
Ibrahim is involved in student advocacy and leadership councils that plan and coordinate school initiatives. He captains the senior soccer team and volunteers as a youth sports coach. Ibrahim organized a community fundraiser supporting children’s access to athletics and volunteered as a touchpool educator at the Vancouver Aquarium.
Tessa is the co-founder of an all-girls flag football organization. She coaches, plans, and promotes camps and leagues to help girls play football. She also plays and captains tackle and flag football at the national level, and plays rugby with her school team.
Jin Lu serves as student council president, trains a competitive business club, coaches debate, and tutors peers. She performs oboe in both school and community ensembles, participates in drama, and crochets for charity. Outside school, she supports youth volunteering and STEM/female outreach through events and nonprofit initiatives, and enjoys breakdancing.
Anushka leads a community initiative creating handmade cards for children in pediatric care. Anushka was elected as the 2025–26 Student Trustee for the Thames Valley District School Board, and advised on a student-led consent education project. She writes for a youth feminist magazine and co-leads her school’s Model UN.
Kayla is the chair and founder of the Teen Book Club, a community where teen readers discuss ideas, think critically about books, and bond over a passion for reading. She captains her club soccer team, volunteers at her public library, and coaches soccer in her community. She also performs in both community and school musicals.
Lily is the co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of her school’s first-ever online publication. She serves as an executive member of her school’s Renaissance Club, which focuses on student recognition and celebration. Lily is also the Co-Chair of Relay for Life at her high school.
Leah is president of her student council and green team. She is a competitive cross-country skier and helps coach the local program. Leah has helped create a territorial sports organization for cycling. She coordinates and teaches her local Sunday School ministry. Leah works at her local pool as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
