Alexa is currently pursuing a BSc in Bioengineering at McGill University. She is the Founder and Chair of the charity, Girls to the Power of Math (G^M). G^M provides free programs to girls in British Columbia to boost their confidence in math through mentorship, games, and a collaborative social environment. The program has expanded from Vancouver to other parts of the province, with programs now offered to at-risk populations, Francophone students, and Indigenous communities. Alexa is a speaker and contributor to organizations like the Engendering Success in Stem Network, the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology, and the Science and Technology Awareness Network. Alexa continues to learn how to support female-identifying students in bridging the gender gap in STEM.
