For one of his Loran Summers, Amar worked in London with the UK chapter of Doctors of the World, where he helped challenge a new act on the treatment of asylum seekers and served in their clinic for migrants and refugees to advocate for access to primary healthcare. Amar serves as a community and international affairs representative within his medical student union and volunteers with Doctors of the World in Montrèal while pursuing his degree in medicine.
