Banin is pursuing a BA in political studies at the University of Saskatchewan. She is a passionate advocate for Afghan women’s and girls’ right to education. As part of her advocacy work, she serves as co-chair of the Saskatoon chapter of Right to Learn Afghanistan and is also the co-chair of cultural and community engagement with the 30 Birds Foundation. She currently works part time to help support her family. You may also find her exploring her artistic side creating her latest crochet projects.
