Dhanishta is pursuing a BSc in Honours Psychology at McGill University. She completed her research thesis investigating the effects of menopause on brain health and function. She works as a research assistant at the McGill Mindfulness Research Lab. Dhanishta served as an Equity Commissioner and Mental Health Committee coordinator for the Science Undergraduate Society, where she worked in a team to advocate for equity and inclusion, and mental health and accessibility for students of all backgrounds. Off-campus, Dhanishta volunteers to prepare and serve meals at the Open Door shelter and provides arts and crafts recreational therapy to patients at the Montréal General Hospital. In 2022, she interned at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and successfully initiated a first-of-its-kind program to foster connections between young adults and the gallery.
