Emma is studying biomedical engineering and health sciences, specializing in materials engineering. She co-founded the McMaster Engineering Jazz Band and plays the trombone. Emma also facilitated a smooth transition for first-year engineering students as a welcome-week representative. She spent her first Loran summer doing biomaterials research at McMaster, and her second working for Campus Alberta Neuroscience, a research and innovation hub based in Calgary. In her free time, Emma enjoys playing intramural hockey and soccer.
