Hubaib immigrated from Afghanistan in 2018. He is multilingual in over seven languages and has only started speaking English since arriving in Canada. Hubaib has a passion for finance, particularly investing and social impact. Hubaib is actively involved with the Executive Mentorship Program and the BC Youth Council and is a residence advisor. Additionally, he’s an elected senator at the UBC Senate. Hubaib completed his Public Policy Summer with Imagine Canada, working on Core Funding and Digital Innovation files, and his Community Development summer as a portfolio intern with LEAP | Pecaut for Social Impact.
