Studying Health and Society at the University of Calgary, Kaia serves as treasurer of the Health and Society Scholars Club and is also undertaking a project to reform mental health accessibility at her university. Additionally, Kaia remains the chairperson of the KidSport chapter she founded in her hometown, and volunteers as a riding assistant to help individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities horseback ride at Prairie Sky Equine Assisted Therapy.
