Kaia is studying health and society with a concentration in economics at the University of Calgary, where she serves as treasurer of the Health and Society Scholars Club. She also remains the chairperson of the KidSport chapter she founded in her hometown. Kaia volunteers as a horseback riding assistant to individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities at Prairie Sky Equine Assisted Therapy. She has also worked as a research assistant for the Science and Practice in Psychology Research Lab at McGill University.
