Katarzyna attends Dalhousie University, pursuing a BSc in Medical Science. She volunteers as a tutor for underprivileged youth in the Halifax region and assists with breast cancer research at the university. Katarzyna serves on committees that aim to enhance accessibility services for students with disabilities and break down barriers for students seeking accommodations. Previously, she worked with a youth outreach centre where she served on the development committee for a Community Health Hub, ran initiatives regarding harm reduction, and organized a community resource fair. For her recent Loran summer, Katarzyna worked at the IWK Health Centre, researching pediatric immunology.
