Laurence is studying social work with a minor in Indigenous Studies at McGill University. She serves on the executive committee of her student association and is involved with WUSC McGill, a student group dedicated to sponsoring refugee students and fostering their integration into both the university and the Montréal community. Laurence also coordinates a peer support group for facilitators of reconciliation circles between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. Additionally, she volunteers as a French teacher for newcomers to Montréal.
