Mamanar was the founder and Editor-in-Chief of her high school newspaper. She played soccer and was an active member of her student council and diversity club. Mamanar organized events and initiatives, including Culture Week activities, to build community in her school. She worked at a cake boutique and cafe. Mamanar is currently studying Communications with a minor in Feminist Studies at the University of Ottawa.
