Shay has shared his voice and unique perspective on his school’s accessibility committee, and several youth advisory committees. He is an ambassador for the Ontario Cerebral Palsy Sports Association’s Be Boundless campaign. He is also a member of the U23 Ontario Wheelchair Basketball Team, and an Ontario Wheelchair Racer. Shay co-created and co-directs a local bowling league for students with disabilities.
