Teerka is a health sciences student at Queen’s University with a strong interest in the health and well-being of children and youth. She spent one of her Loran summers working at the Child Health Policy Accelerator, contributing to research on online harms. She leads a community organization that delivers health-focused initiatives for the unhoused population and runs a program offering free first-aid courses and workshops for at-risk youth. On campus, she is involved in clubs focused on youth health promotion and harm reduction, helps organize a TEDx conference, and dances in a charity fashion show.
