Teerka is the president of a non-profit that organizes health-focused initiatives for the homeless community, including the creation and distribution of pandemic care packages. At school, she advocates for youth as a student trustee on her school board, tutors newcomer students, and serves on the student council. Teerka is a UNICEF U-Report ambassador, has planned community initiatives to increase vaccine literacy, and has worked as a market research intern at two startups. She also plays on her varsity ultimate frisbee team and has played basketball competitively for her city.
