Hannah is a leader at Brigadoon Village, one of the largest pediatric medical camps in Canada. She contributed to a charity drive providing warm, knit, and crochet clothing and accessories to vulnerable populations within her community. A certified lifeguard and swim instructor, Hannah also volunteers at her public library’s youth program and is on its Teen Advisory Council, building on her prior engagement in literacy diversity. She is also secretary of her school’s Rotary Club, leading several fundraisers and community initiatives.

Aidan is the president of his school’s student council. He holds the position of Master Corporal in his local Junior Canadian Rangers. He is actively involved in sports, and has completed an Aboriginal Coaching module, as well as participated in the North American Indigenous Games. Through his involvement with the Nunatukavut Youth Community Engagement Project, he has worked with elders to connect his community’s youth with their ancestry.

Isaac volunteers for an organization that provides educational services and programs for sensory-impaired students. He is also the founder and lead software developer for a nonprofit that develops apps to help students with cortical visual impairments. His programs have been successfully implemented across Prince Edward Island. Isaac volunteers at two central Island emergency departments and serves on a board with Health PEI, which is dedicated to improving emergency department care. He is also a part-time line cook, and cooks at large-scale events like Fall Flavours.

Ana is studying health sciences specializing in the respiratory system at Dalhousie University. She is an executive member of the SPRING accessibility program for children in the community on campus. She volunteers as a mentor for students pursuing STEM education. Ana completed her public policy summer with the Nature Trust of New Brunswick.

Toni is majoring in Political Science and minoring in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Dalhousie University. For his Loran Summers, Toni has worked for Peace by Chocolate and with the Toronto Institute of Canadian Citizenship. While at university, Toni hosts a weekly radio show, operates the sound system at Dalhousie’s home games, tutors high-school students through IMHOTEP Legacy Academy, and volunteers at Hope Blooms, a local non-profit tackling food security in Halifax. He is also part of a new student-faculty team building a Dalhousie Student Leadership Academy program. Toni likes to hike, host potlucks, listen to live music, and attend independent film festivals in his free time.
