Asma co-founded and captains her school’s robotics team. She is the president of her school’s newsletter club and a teen council member at the Art Gallery of Windsor. Asma created a heated bus shelter prototype for a STEAM community project and completed a co-op placement at the regional hospital. As a Girl Guides Youth Forum representative, she organized events and advocated for equity. She also worked as a program assistant with Skate Canada and runs her own calligraphy business.
Vanessa is a student at Western University, studying computer science and media, information and technoculture. She is a creative, community-oriented individual with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Her experiences span a range of fields, including roles as a team lead at McDonald’s, content collaborator at UpstartED, and most recently, global banking and markets summer intern at Scotiabank, Vanessa serves as senior analyst and IT director at BlackLeaf Capital, finance commissioner for the science students’ council, and vice-president of finance for the Nigerian students’ association at Western. In her spare time, she also loves cooking, gardening, art, and the outdoors.
