Loran Volunteers Make a Difference

Become a Loran volunteer

Volunteers from all corners of the country power our work. Intimately involved with Loran’s in-depth selection process, they support us in identifying students who demonstrate strength of character, a commitment to service that improves the lives of others, and intrinsic leadership potential. Loran assessors and interviewers play a pivotal role in recognizing this untapped promise and shifting the trajectories of young students’ lives.

Mentors, coaches, and presenters support us in building Loran Scholars’ capacity to lead. Through inspiration and guidance, these volunteers challenge, coach, and shape these optimistic changemakers at a formative time in their lives.

While our network of volunteers come from a variety of careers, backgrounds, and locations, they all model the very values we look for in Loran Scholars. It is only with the commitment and expertise of this volunteer community that we are able to deliver such a high-calibre selections process and leadership-enrichment program.

Nearly 600 individuals including 139 Mentors dedicate their time and talents to helping us find high-potential students and supporting them to reach their potential.
